The ACCUPRO 12184645 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.3594 inch (23/64 inch) mill diameter and a 0.875 inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers consistent performance in contour milling, die work, and 3D profiling. The 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. An AlTiN coating provides high-temperature resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other demanding materials. Machining professionals and tool-and-die shops are the primary users of this type of end mill.
This ball end mill is suited for CNC milling centers and manual knee mills operating on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened tool steels, and cast iron. The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found in production and job shop environments. With a 2.5 inch overall length and right-hand cutting and flute direction, it is well positioned for finish-profiling passes on molds, dies, and complex contoured parts where a ball nose geometry is required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with standard 3/8 inch collet chucks or end mill holders. Suitable for profiling, contouring, and finish milling operations on hardened steels, stainless steel, alloy steel, and similar ferrous materials where an AlTiN-coated carbide tool is appropriate.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the tool for runout after clamping before initiating a cut. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and machine spindle horsepower rating.
