The ACCUPRO 12184615 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temperature alloys. It features a 0.2362-inch (6 mm) cutting diameter and a 4-flute geometry with a 40-degree helix angle, producing smooth surface finishes and efficient chip evacuation at elevated feed rates. The AlTiN coating extends tool life in high-heat applications by reducing oxidation and friction at the cutting edge. This is a single-end tool ground from micrograin carbide substrate, offering the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance profiling and contouring operations.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills running finish and semi-finish passes in die and mold work, aerospace components, and precision part production. The 6 mm shank diameter fits standard collets and toolholders in that size range. With a 0.748-inch (19 mm) length of cut and a 63 mm overall length, it is configured for short-reach, high-stability applications where rigidity is critical. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this tool in job shop and production environments.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 6 mm shank diameter via collet or toolholder; suitable for short-reach ball-nose profiling and contouring applications in hardened and alloy materials.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or changing tooling. Verify collet size matches the 6 mm shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable tolerance for the intended application before beginning a cut. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for speeds, feeds, and coolant delivery when running coated carbide tooling.
