The ACCUPRO 12184550 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.0591 inch (1.50 mm) mill diameter and a 0.2362 inch (6.00 mm) length of cut, this tool is built for small-feature contouring, slotting, and finishing passes. The 4-flute configuration provides a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. A 40-degree right-hand helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces vibration at the cutting edge. This end mill is manufactured from micrograin solid carbide, delivering hardness and edge retention suited to demanding machining environments. It is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This ball end mill is well suited for milling small radii, 3D contour work, and finishing operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction performs reliably in applications where coating adhesion or heat buildup is not the primary concern, such as aluminum, brass, and light steels. The 3.00 mm shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Its single-end design and regular length make it a direct-fit choice for close-tolerance finish milling where tool overhang must be minimized.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide ball end mill for standard 3.00 mm collet tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Torque the collet nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification using the appropriate spanner wrenches. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
