The ACCUPRO 12184433 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and engineering-grade plastic applications. Built with a 0.125-inch mill diameter and a 0.75-inch length of cut, this three-flute tool delivers a balance of chip clearance and cutting wall rigidity suited to contour milling, profiling, and 3D surface work. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Solid carbide construction with a micrograin grade provides the hardness and edge retention required for demanding CNC machining environments. The uncoated finish makes it well-suited for non-ferrous metals and materials where coating adhesion is not a factor.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and precision manual mills where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. The long-series overall length of 2.25 inches and 0.125-inch shank diameter make it appropriate for applications requiring extended reach into pockets or along contoured surfaces. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully powered down and locked out before tool changes. The 0.125-inch shank must be seated to the recommended grip depth in a properly sized collet or shrink-fit holder to prevent runout and tool pullout during cutting. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings against the tool manufacturer recommendations for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Avoid side loading that exceeds the tool diameter-to-reach ratio, as small-diameter carbide end mills are susceptible to deflection and breakage.
