The ACCUPRO 12184432 is a single-end ball end mill designed for precision milling of complex contours, curved surfaces, and 3D profiles in ferrous and hardened materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, the tool delivers rigidity and wear resistance that high-speed steels cannot match at elevated feeds and speeds. The 1-inch milling diameter pairs with a 2.25-inch length of cut, giving machinists access to deeper cavities without sacrificing tool stability. An AlTiN coating adds a hard thermal barrier that extends tool life when cutting abrasive alloys or running dry and near-dry. Three right-hand spiral flutes with a 40-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces in demanding applications.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers running die-and-mold work, aerospace component finishing, and general-purpose finish milling of alloy steels, stainless steels, titanium, and hardened tool steels. The long-reach geometry and 2.25-inch LOC make it practical for cavity work and rib milling where standard-length tools cannot reach. A 1-inch shank diameter provides direct holding in standard ER or side-lock toolholders without a reducer, minimizing runout and maximizing rigidity at the spindle interface.
Designed as an OEM-style solid-carbide ball end mill for use in CNC machining centers and mills equipped with 1-inch diameter ER collet, Weldon side-lock, or hydraulic toolholders.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard CNC tooling procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the 1-inch shank fully into the toolholder and confirm runout with a dial indicator before production runs. Follow the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines for feed rate, spindle speed, and depth-of-cut based on the workpiece material and setup rigidity.
