The ACCUPRO 12184406 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precise contouring, profiling, and 3D milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 0.6875-inch cutting diameter and a 1.5-inch length of cut, this single-end mill delivers consistent material removal across a range of workpiece materials. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining surface finish quality. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide, it offers the rigidity and edge retention required for demanding cutting applications. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shops, production facilities, and toolrooms.
This ball end mill is suited for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, and hardened materials where a ball-nose profile is required for contoured or radiused features. The uncoated finish makes it a practical choice for applications where coolant or cutting fluid is used, or where post-grinding regrind programs are in place. The 0.75-inch shank diameter provides solid tool-holder engagement, and the 4-inch overall length accommodates standard tooling setups without excessive overhang.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use ball end mill compatible with standard 3/4-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 0.75-inch shank fully into the tool holder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, and confirm feed and speed parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
