The ACCUPRO 12184347 is a single-end ball end mill designed for contour milling, profiling, and 3D surface work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for high-speed cutting operations in production and toolroom environments. The 0.2344-inch diameter cutting end pairs with a 0.75-inch length of cut and a 40-degree helix angle, promoting smooth chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. A titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in abrasive materials. This tool is installed and operated by machinists, toolmakers, and CNC programmers working in job shops and production facilities.
This ball end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring a small-diameter finishing or semi-finishing tool. The 0.2344-inch (15/64-inch) diameter makes it appropriate for fine detail work, slot milling in confined areas, and profiling complex curved surfaces. The 1/4-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide ball end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1/4-inch shank end mill holder or collet.
This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators. Before tool changes, power down the spindle completely and confirm the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use, and set appropriate feeds and speeds for the workpiece material to avoid premature tool failure.
