The ACCUPRO 12184275 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 0.125 inch mill diameter, a 0.75 inch length of cut, and a 40-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The TiCN coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction, extending tool life in abrasive or high-temperature cutting environments. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the edge retention and rigidity needed for tight-tolerance profiling, contouring, and slotting. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in machine shops, toolrooms, and manufacturing environments.
This ball end mill is suited for 3D contouring, profiling, and finishing passes in both conventional and CNC milling machines. Its long-length designation and single-end configuration make it appropriate for reaching into pockets and contoured features that standard-length tools cannot access. The right-hand cutting and right-hand spiral flute direction are standard for the majority of vertical and horizontal milling setups. It is a practical choice for applications in steel, stainless, cast iron, and hard non-ferrous alloys where a TiCN coating provides a meaningful service-life advantage.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool compatible with standard collet and end mill holders accepting a 0.125 inch round shank in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines.
This tool is installed by machinists using a collet chuck or end mill holder sized to 0.125 inch. Ensure the holder and spindle taper are clean and free of debris before seating the tool. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as runout at this diameter accelerates edge wear significantly. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and insert holder torque specifications when securing set screws or collet nuts.
