The ACCUPRO 12184219 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for milling operations requiring a full-radius cutting profile. With a 0.25-inch mill diameter, a 1.125-inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length, this tool is built for long-reach applications where standard-length end mills fall short. The AlTiN coating provides high-temperature resistance and wear protection, making it suitable for cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other difficult materials. Two right-hand spiral flutes with a 40-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Micrograin carbide construction adds rigidity and edge retention in demanding machining environments. Installation is performed by machinists and CNC toolroom professionals.
This end mill is suited for profiling, contouring, and finish milling in vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as manual mills. The long-length configuration makes it appropriate for deep cavity work, die and mold machining, and similar applications where extended reach into a workpiece is required. The single-end design concentrates all cutting geometry at one end, and the 0.25-inch straight shank fits standard ER and end mill holders in that bore size. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation on most CNC platforms.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use tool for standard 0.25-inch bore end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and shrink-fit holders compatible with a 0.25-inch straight shank diameter.
This tool is installed by machinists or CNC toolroom personnel using appropriate toolholders and collet systems rated for the 0.25-inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout state before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool in the holder, as excessive runout accelerates carbide wear and reduces surface finish quality. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and coating type.
