The ACCUPRO 12184159 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 0.354 inch (9 mm) mill diameter and a 2-flute, single-end configuration, this tool delivers accurate ball-nose profiling, contouring, and finishing cuts. The 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces, while the AlTiN coating adds heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and high-temperature alloy applications. Made from micrograin solid carbide, it holds tight tolerances and resists deflection under aggressive feed conditions. This end mill is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
This end mill is suited for CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as manual mills equipped for carbide tooling. The 10 mm shank diameter fits standard ER and straight-bore collet systems. The 0.5512 inch (14 mm) length of cut and 70 mm overall length make it appropriate for stub-reach applications where rigidity is prioritized over extended reach. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle rotation. No extended reach or variable index geometry is present, keeping the design straightforward for general-purpose 3D profiling and pocket finishing in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials.
Designed for use in CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 10 mm straight shank; compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders configured for 10 mm shank tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with tool-holder torque procedures and runout verification. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm shank engagement depth meets the tool-holder manufacturer minimum before tightening. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts to prevent premature edge failure.
