The ACCUPRO 12184089 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 0.138 inch (3.50 mm) mill diameter with a 2-flute, right-hand spiral configuration and a 40-degree helix angle for efficient chip evacuation. The cutting edges are finished with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating to extend tool life and reduce friction at elevated cutting speeds. With a stub-length profile and micrograin carbide construction, this end mill delivers rigidity and wear resistance in demanding applications. It is a single-end tool sold individually.
This ball end mill is suited for contouring, profiling, and slotting operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and alloys. The 0.138 inch diameter and 0.2756 inch (7.00 mm) length of cut make it appropriate for fine-detail work and tight-tolerance finishes in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The 4 mm shank diameter fits standard collet and tool holder systems. A 50 mm overall length keeps the tool compact for reduced deflection in close-clearance setups.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with collet or toolholder systems accepting a 4 mm shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before loading or unloading tooling. Verify collet bore size matches the 4 mm shank diameter before tightening to avoid runout or slippage. Consult machine and tooling documentation for appropriate speeds and feeds based on workpiece material.
