The ACCUPRO 12184038 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and other hard materials. With a 0.5625 inch mill diameter and a 1.25 inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers consistent performance in finishing and profiling applications. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting environments. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the toughness and rigidity required for tight-tolerance work. Machinists and toolroom professionals use this end mill where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical.
This ball end mill suits CNC machining centers and manual mills running ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It is well suited for contour milling, cavity work, and 3D profiling passes in steel, stainless, cast iron, and aluminum alloys. The right-hand cutting and right-hand spiral flute geometry is standard for conventional and climb milling setups. The 0.5625 inch shank diameter fits common ER and side-lock toolholders in that size range. Single-end construction means the tool is replaced rather than reversed when worn, keeping setup consistent.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills using 0.5625 inch shank toolholders.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in a clean, undamaged toolholder and torque the retention system per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before initiating a cut; do not use a damaged carbide tool.
