The ACCUPRO 12184035 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. It features a 0.551 inch (14 mm) mill diameter with a 1.2598 inch (32 mm) length of cut and a 40-degree helix angle for aggressive chip evacuation and improved surface finish. The two-flute geometry provides efficient chip clearance in slotting, profiling, and 3D contouring work. A TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Micrograin carbide construction delivers rigidity and edge retention under demanding cutting conditions.
This ball end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where radius profiling, die work, and contour milling are required. The single-end configuration and right-hand cutting with right-hand spiral flutes make it a standard fit for conventional milling setups. It is appropriate for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials where a TiCN-coated carbide tool is specified. The 14 mm shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in production and job shop environments.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills using 14 mm shank toolholders, including ER collet chucks and side-lock holders accepting a 14 mm shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing tooling. Seat the shank to the full recommended grip depth in the toolholder and torque the collet nut or set screw per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling.
