The ACCUPRO 12183852 is a 6-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin carbide stock, this tool delivers the edge retention and rigidity required for demanding finishing and semi-finishing cuts. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in abrasive workpiece materials. With a 40-degree helix angle and right-hand cut with right-hand spiral flute geometry, it generates efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, adding versatility to the setup.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual mills running aluminum, steel, stainless, and similar materials in job shop and production environments. The regular-length profile with a 0.75-inch length of cut and 2.5-inch overall length fits standard tool holders and collet chucks using a 0.25-inch shank. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators working in general metalworking and mold work will find this geometry appropriate for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations.
Designed for use in standard 0.25-inch collet chucks, ER collets, and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. No specific machine model compatibility was stated by the manufacturer for this part number.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully into the tool holder to the recommended gauge line depth, leaving no less than the required minimum engagement in the collet or holder. Inspect the tool and holder for runout before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Always verify spindle speed and feed rate settings against the material and cut type before engaging the workpiece.
