The ACCUPRO 12183767 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it handles hard materials and elevated cutting temperatures without degrading edge life. The 3/8 inch diameter cutter features a 0.03 inch corner radius, 4 flutes, right-hand spiral flute geometry, and a 40-degree helix angle. With a 3 inch length of cut and 6 inch overall length, this is classified as an extra-long reach tool. It is centercutting and single-end, making it suitable for plunge entry as well as peripheral milling. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, aerospace, and tool-and-die environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes on ferrous and hardened materials where edge-radius blending is required at corners and fillets. The extra-long length of cut makes it appropriate for deep-cavity milling, mold work, and die profiling where reach into a workpiece is necessary. Right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and oxidation protection at elevated spindle speeds, extending tool life in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 3/8 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators following shop tooling procedures. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill from its holder. Verify toolholder bore size and runout prior to setup, as shank diameter tolerance on this tool is -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches. Confirm correct cutting direction and spindle rotation are programmed before engaging the workpiece.
