The ACCUPRO 12183761 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. With a 3/8 inch diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 0.09 inch corner radius, this tool delivers controlled edge blending and reduced stress concentration at the cutting corner. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance required for production-level work in steels, stainless, and hardened alloys. A TiCN coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in abrasive or high-heat cutting conditions. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring long-reach capability.
This end mill is suited for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a radiused corner is required to avoid sharp stress risers or meet print specifications. The extra-long 6 inch overall length supports deep-pocket and long-reach setups where standard-length tools cannot reach the workpiece. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle configurations. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece when the operation requires it.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/8 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolroom practices. Secure the 3/8 inch shank in a properly sized collet, end mill holder, or Weldon-style chuck and verify runout before cutting. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are set according to the workpiece material and coating manufacturer recommendations before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear at regular intervals, particularly when machining hardened or abrasive materials.
