The ACCUPRO 12183760 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring a controlled edge radius and extended reach. With a 3/8 inch diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and a 3 inch length of cut, this tool is built for profiling, slotting, and contouring in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher speeds and improved wear resistance compared to standard carbide grades. A TiCN coating further extends tool life by reducing friction and surface adhesion during cutting. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be plunged directly into the workpiece. Machinists and toolroom professionals are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where a corner radius profile is required to reduce stress concentration at part shoulders or to match a specific radius callout on a print. The extra-long 6 inch overall length and 1.875 inch actual length of cut make it appropriate for deep-cavity work and tall-part setups where a standard-length tool cannot reach the feature. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional spindle rotation. Applications span aerospace, die and mold, and general precision machining environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills accepting a 3/8 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation of this end mill is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Seat the 3/8 inch shank fully and evenly in a collet, shrink-fit holder, or Weldon-style holder before tightening to the holder manufacturer's specified torque. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable limits prior to cutting, as excessive runout will accelerate corner radius wear and degrade surface finish. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling.
