The ACCUPRO 12183759 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with TiCN for improved wear resistance and tool life, this single-end mill features 4 right-hand spiral flutes and a 0.045-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge. With a 3/8-inch diameter, a 3-inch length of cut, and a 6-inch overall length, it is classified as an extra-long reach tool suited for deep-pocket and long-reach applications. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this mill in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where tight tolerances and consistent edge geometry are required.
This end mill is appropriate for production and job-shop environments where extended reach into deep cavities or tall workpiece features is necessary. The extra-long 6-inch overall length paired with the 3-inch length of cut makes it well suited for mold and die work, aerospace components, and structural part machining where standard-length tools cannot reach. The TiCN coating performs well in abrasive materials and at elevated cutting speeds. The 3/8-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet and end mill holder systems commonly found in CNC machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for standard 3/8-inch collets and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine power is off before changing tooling. Seat the 3/8-inch shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as extra-long tools are more sensitive to holder concentricity than standard-length end mills.
