The ACCUPRO 12183750 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring extended reach and a controlled edge radius. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this tool delivers a 3/8 inch cutting diameter with a 0.045 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and improves surface finish on profiled workpieces. With a 3 inch length of cut and a 6 inch overall length, this is an extra-long configuration suited for deep-cavity and contoured-surface work. The bright uncoated finish makes it a versatile choice across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC vertical and horizontal milling platforms.
This end mill is suited for finish and semi-finish milling applications in aerospace, mold-and-die, and general machining environments where a long reach into deep pockets or tall workpieces is required. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, adding flexibility to the tool path. Right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry make it compatible with standard CNC spindle rotation. The 4-flute configuration balances material removal rate with chip evacuation in moderate chip-load operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct fitment for CNC milling setups accepting a 3/8 inch straight shank end mill with standard ER or side-lock toolholders.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool-change procedure followed per the machine manufacturer guidelines before inserting or removing the end mill. Ensure the 3/8 inch shank is fully seated to the minimum engagement depth specified by the toolholder manufacturer to prevent runout and pullout during operation. Verify shank clamping torque per toolholder specifications before initiating a cut cycle.
