The ACCUPRO 12183709 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining applications. With a 3/8 inch diameter, a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.02 inch corner radius, this tool produces smooth transitions and reduces stress concentrations at milled corners. The AlTiN coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless, and other abrasive materials. At 6 inches overall length, this is an extra-long configuration suited for deep-reach milling operations. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is well suited for production milling, moldmaking, die work, and general-purpose profiling where corner radius geometry is required. The extra-long 6 inch overall length makes it applicable in situations where standard-length tooling cannot reach the workpiece. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the material without a pre-drilled hole. Right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation. Micrograin carbide substrate supports higher speeds and feeds in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 3/8 inch diameter toolholders, collets, and shrink-fit chucks used on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
This tool is installed by machinists using appropriate 3/8 inch collets or toolholders rated for the intended spindle speed and feed rate. Ensure the toolholder and spindle are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout at the holder before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide tooling. Always follow machine manufacturer guidelines and standard shop safety practices when handling and operating end mills.
