The ACCUPRO 12183703 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 3/8 inch diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, this tool delivers improved wear resistance and extended tool life compared to uncoated carbide. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration supports efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. At 6 inches overall length with a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, this is an extra-long reach tool suited for deep-cavity and hard-to-reach features. Micrograin carbide construction contributes to edge sharpness and consistency across the cut.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills operating on ferrous metals, stainless steels, and similar work materials where a corner radius profile is required to reduce stress concentrations or meet part geometry requirements. The extra-long overall length makes it well suited for mold and die work, deep pocket milling, and applications where standard-length tooling cannot reach the work surface. It is a single-end, centercutting design, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
Designed as a direct-fit tooling solution for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/8 inch straight shank. Suitable for applications requiring a corner radius end mill in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Secure the 3/8 inch shank in a compatible collet, end mill holder, or Weldon-style holder, ensuring the tool is fully seated and the holder is torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification. Inspect the tool and holder for runout before production use, as excessive runout accelerates wear and degrades corner radius accuracy. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling.
