The ACCUPRO 12183693 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 3/8-inch diameter with a 0.045-inch corner radius and a 1-1/2-inch length of cut, delivering controlled edge geometry that reduces stress concentrations in workpiece corners. The 6-inch overall length places this tool in the extra-long category, extending reach into deep pockets and stepped features. With four spiral flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, it promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and edge retention needed for production-rate cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills operating on steel, aluminum, cast iron, and similar materials. The extra-long overall length makes it particularly useful for deep-pocket milling, multi-step profiling, and reaching features that standard-length end mills cannot access. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle setups. The bright uncoated finish is appropriate for applications where coating compatibility or cutting fluid interaction is a consideration.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/8-inch straight shank. Fits standard 3/8-inch collets and end mill holders commonly used in production and job-shop environments.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout-tagout state before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder to the recommended engagement depth and tighten to the holder manufacturer's specified procedure. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, particularly given the extended reach of this tool, which increases deflection sensitivity at aggressive feed rates.
