The ACCUPRO 12183667 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 5/16-inch diameter with a 0.06-inch corner radius, delivering controlled edge geometry that reduces stress concentration and extends tool life on contoured cuts. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration supports efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting at higher feed rates. With a 1-1/2-inch length of cut and a 6-inch overall length, this is an extra-long reach tool suited for deep-cavity and extended-reach applications. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining cells.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and similar materials where a radiused corner profile is required. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it versatile for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling. The extra-long overall length of 6 inches makes it appropriate for setups where standard-length tooling cannot reach the workpiece. The bright uncoated finish is typical for general-purpose applications and regrinding after wear. This tool is sold individually and is a direct fit for standard 5/16-inch collets and tool holders.
Designed for use in standard 5/16-inch collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and end mill adapters on CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring a corner radius end mill with extra-long reach.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. The shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches, so verify collet or holder fit before tightening. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures for tool runout, clamping force, and spindle speed when setting up extra-long reach tooling.
