The ACCUPRO 12183666 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 5/16 inch diameter with a 0.045 inch corner radius and a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, making it well suited for profiling, slotting, and finishing passes where edge blending and corner protection are required. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for demanding cutting conditions. With four flutes and a right-hand spiral flute geometry, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be used for plunge cuts as well as lateral passes.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines across job shops, tool rooms, and production environments. The extra-long 6 inch overall length allows access to deep features and pockets that standard-length tools cannot reach. The bright uncoated finish makes it appropriate for a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials where coating compatibility is a consideration. It is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators working to close tolerances in precision part manufacture.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-purpose corner radius end mill for use in standard 5/16 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems compatible with 5/16 inch shank diameters.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout. Ensure the machine spindle and tool holder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm proper tool projection and secure clamping torque per the holder manufacturer specification before initiating any cutting cycle. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
