The ACCUPRO 12183665 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers consistent cutting performance and edge retention in demanding materials. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral design produces efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. With a 0.03-inch corner radius, this tool blends strength at the cutting edge with controlled surface geometry. The extra-long 6-inch overall length makes it well suited for deep-pocket milling and extended-reach applications where standard-length tools fall short. Diameter measures 5/16 inches with a matching 5/16-inch shank.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for profiling, slotting, and pocket milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The extra-long length class expands access in deep-cavity work such as mold and die machining, fixture fabrication, and aerospace component work. The 1-1/2-inch length of cut accommodates moderate depth-of-cut passes, while the single-end, centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. It is typically run by machinists and CNC operators following manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for carbide tooling in the applicable workpiece material.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 5/16-inch collet or end mill holder systems on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing tooling. Seat the 5/16-inch shank fully and evenly in a matched collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and consult carbide tooling speed-and-feed charts for the specific workpiece material to avoid premature edge wear or tool failure.
