The ACCUPRO 12183647 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride), it delivers improved hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated tooling. The 0.02 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in slotting, profiling, and pocketing applications. With a 1/4 inch diameter, 4 flutes, and a 40-degree helix angle, this single-end centercutting tool is suited for finish and semi-finish cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is configured for right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction, making it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills. The extra-long 6 inch overall length and 1-1/2 inch length of cut provide extended reach for deep pockets and tall workpieces where standard-length tooling cannot reach. It is well suited for mold and die work, aerospace components, and general precision machining where controlled corner geometry is required.
Designed as a direct-mount replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder that matches the 1/4 inch shank diameter and torque the retention mechanism per the machine tool manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts to confirm proper seating and minimize premature tool wear.
