The ACCUPRO 12183589 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and hard material applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers a 5/8 inch cutting diameter with a 0.0600 inch corner radius and a 2 inch length of cut. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry provides efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. With a 40-degree helix angle and bright/uncoated finish, this tool is suited for general-purpose machining where coating is not required. It is a single-end, centercutting design, allowing it to plunge as well as profile. Machinists and tool and die professionals install and operate this type of cutting tool on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is appropriate for milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including applications that require a controlled corner radius to reduce stress concentrations at slot or pocket transitions. The long-length configuration, with a 6 inch overall length and 5/8 inch shank diameter, makes it suitable for setups requiring extended reach into deeper workpieces or fixtures. It is a single-end tool, so once the cutting end is worn, the tool is replaced rather than flipped.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 5/8 inch straight shank end mill holder or collet.
This tool is installed and changed by machinists or CNC operators following shop safety procedures. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder to the specified grip length before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for runout or damage before each use, and verify spindle speeds and feed rates against the manufacturer or shop guidelines for the workpiece material.
