The ACCUPRO 12183586 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 5/8 inch (0.6250 inch) mill diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 0.02 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in profiling and slotting operations. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into a workpiece. It is sized and specified for use by machinists and tooling professionals working on CNC mills and manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for finish profiling, contouring, and peripheral milling on ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a controlled corner radius is required. The long-length classification with a 6 inch overall length allows access to deeper features and cavities that standard-length tools cannot reach. The bright/uncoated finish makes it a general-purpose option compatible with a range of cutting fluids and workpiece materials. Machinists running high-speed or conventional milling passes on steel, aluminum, and similar materials will find this tool appropriate for moderate to high material removal rate applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 5/8 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the 5/8 inch shank fully and evenly in a clean, properly sized collet or tool holder to maintain runout tolerance. Inspect the tool holder and collet for wear or debris before clamping. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
