The ACCUPRO 12183569 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.09 inch corner radius that blends the cutting edge to reduce stress concentrations and extend tool life in slotting, profiling, and contouring applications. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the TiCN coating provides enhanced hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated carbide. Micrograin carbide construction supports tight tolerances and consistent performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This tool is installed by machinists and tool and die professionals in CNC milling operations.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where corner radius geometry is required to produce radiused inside corners or to add strength to milled features. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. The long-length classification, 4 inch overall length with a 1/2 inch shank, accommodates setups requiring additional reach while maintaining rigidity through the solid carbide construction. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional CNC spindle direction.
Designed as a standard 1/2 inch shank corner radius end mill compatible with CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and milling fixtures accepting 1/2 inch collets or end mill holders.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an energy-isolated state before loading or changing the tool. Seat the shank fully in a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut according to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and verify runout at setup to protect both the tool and the workpiece surface finish.
