The ACCUPRO 12183560 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.09 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. With a bright/uncoated finish and micrograin carbide construction, this tool delivers consistent performance in demanding cutting environments. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals.
This end mill is suited for long-reach milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a corner radius profile is required to blend surfaces or protect corners from chipping. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge cutting as well as peripheral and slot milling. The 4 inch overall length and 1/2 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard toolholders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. It is classified as a long-length tool, making it appropriate for pockets, slots, and contoured surfaces that require extended reach beyond standard end mill proportions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for standard 1/2 inch toolholders in vertical and horizontal machining centers requiring a long-length, single-end configuration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 1/2 inch shank fully and evenly in the toolholder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts, as excessive runout will accelerate wear and compromise corner radius tolerance.
