The ACCUPRO 12183544 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it delivers high heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The 0.02 inch corner radius reduces stress concentrations at part edges while maintaining a clean profile. With a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, 1 inch length of cut, and 40-degree helix angle, this single-end centercutting tool is suited for high-speed finishing and semi-finishing passes. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC toolroom technicians.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a radiused corner is required at the floor-to-wall intersection. The long-length configuration, with a 4 inch overall length and 3/8 inch shank diameter, provides reach into deeper cavities. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups. It is appropriate for mold work, die work, and aerospace or automotive component machining where tight tolerances and surface finish matter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/8 inch straight shank toolholder.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom personnel. Secure the shank in an appropriate collet chuck or end mill holder rated for the 3/8 inch shank diameter and torque to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the coating type and workpiece material being cut.
