The ACCUPRO 12183523 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in metal-cutting and machining applications. It features a 3/8 inch diameter with a 0.01 inch corner radius that produces a controlled edge break on milled features, reducing stress concentrations and extending workpiece life. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. At 4 inches overall length with a 1 inch length of cut, this is a long-series tool suited for reaching into deeper pockets or stepped features. The bright, uncoated finish makes it compatible with a wide range of workpiece materials and cutting fluids.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations where a small corner radius is required. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled starting hole. The long-series length type makes it appropriate for setups where standard-length tooling cannot reach. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians working in job shops, production machining, and maintenance environments will find this tool well suited to ferrous and non-ferrous metal cutting.
Designed as a standard 3/8 inch shank corner radius end mill compatible with collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit holders sized for 3/8 inch tooling on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully within the holder to the minimum insertion depth recommended for the holder type to prevent tool pullout under cutting loads. Verify runout with a dial indicator after tool installation before beginning any cut.
