The ACCUPRO 12183501 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication, tool-and-die, and machining environments. It features a 5/16-inch diameter with a 0.045-inch corner radius, reducing stress concentrations at part corners and extending tool life in demanding cuts. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral design provides efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. With a bright/uncoated finish and micrograin carbide construction, this end mill performs reliably in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be used for plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where long-reach access is required. The 4-inch overall length and 1-inch length of cut make it appropriate for deeper pocket work and profiling operations where a standard-length tool lacks the reach. It is commonly used by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision fabricators working in production or job-shop settings. The 5/16-inch shank diameter fits standard ER and straight-bore collet systems commonly found in vertical machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 5/16-inch straight-bore and ER collet toolholders used in CNC and manual vertical milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, and confirm cutting parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
