The ACCUPRO 12183489 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, it delivers strong heat resistance and wear performance in hardened materials, stainless steels, and high-temp alloys. The tool features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius that reduces chipping at part edges, and a 1 inch length of cut. With 4 right-hand spiral flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, it promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry. This tool is used by machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments.
This end mill is suited for finish and semi-finish milling passes where edge integrity and corner geometry control are critical. The long flute length relative to diameter makes it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling in materials that demand a robust coating. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders. It is a single-end configuration with no extended reach, intended for conventional CNC machining center applications where rigidity is maintained.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool compatible with standard 1/4 inch ER collet systems and end mill holders used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify runout with a dial indicator after tooling is seated; excessive runout accelerates flute wear and degrades corner radius geometry. Follow the machine tool builder and cutting tool manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for the workpiece material being cut.
