The ACCUPRO 12183482 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for demanding cutting applications. The 0.02 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cut edge and extends tool life compared to sharp-cornered end mills. TiCN coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, reducing friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC programmers running vertical or horizontal milling centers, machining centers, and manual knee mills.
This end mill is sized at 1/4 inch diameter with a 1 inch length of cut and a 4 inch overall length, making it well suited for medium-depth slotting, profiling, and finishing passes in steel, stainless, cast iron, and hardened alloys. The long-reach configuration allows access to features with greater depth clearance. The single-end, center-cutting design supports both plunge and peripheral cutting in a single setup.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use tooling for standard 1/4 inch collet or end mill holders on CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual milling machines accepting 1/4 inch shank tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or holder and torque the retention nut to the holder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as runout beyond acceptable limits will accelerate tool wear and degrade surface finish.
