The ACCUPRO 12183437 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built from micrograin carbide and finished with a TiCN coating, it delivers extended tool life in demanding cutting environments. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 40-degree helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. At 1 inch in diameter with a 0.09-inch corner radius, it produces accurate radiused profiles while reducing edge chipping. Centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled start hole. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill is suited for long-reach milling applications requiring a full 2-inch length of cut and 6-inch overall length. The single-end, long-length construction makes it appropriate for deep-pocket and side-wall milling operations where standard-length tooling cannot reach. The 1-inch shank diameter provides solid rigidity and reduces deflection during heavy cuts. The TiCN coating improves wear resistance and is well-matched for use in alloy steels, stainless steels, and cast iron. Typical applications include mold and die work, aerospace components, and general precision machining.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1-inch straight shank end mill holder or collet chuck.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use a properly sized end mill holder or precision collet rated for a 1-inch shank to achieve the manufacturer shank diameter tolerance range. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator after clamping before beginning any cut, and confirm feeds and speeds are appropriate for the workpiece material before operation.
