The ACCUPRO 12183427 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1 inch diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that produces a controlled edge break on milled profiles, reducing stress concentrations and improving surface finish. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry supports efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. At 6 inches overall length with a 1 inch shank diameter, this is a long-reach tool suited for deeper pockets and stepped features. Micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and edge retention. The bright, uncoated finish makes it straightforward to inspect for wear.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal machining centers, CNC knee mills, and manual mills where a repeatable corner radius is required on internal or external profiles. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. It is appropriate for job shops, tool rooms, die shops, and production floors working in steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the typical end users. The long-length configuration suits applications where standard-length tools cannot reach the full depth of the feature.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 1 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool builder guidelines for toolholder runout and pull-out torque. Always power down and lock out the spindle before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully in the holder to the recommended minimum engagement depth and verify runout with a dial indicator before taking a cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the material being machined.
