The ACCUPRO 12183415 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide stock and finished with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating, this end mill delivers extended tool life and improved wear resistance compared to uncoated carbide. It features a 7/16 inch cutting diameter, a 1-3/8 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length, placing it in the extra-long length category. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during aggressive passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous and non-ferrous materials on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Its extra-long overall length makes it appropriate for deep-pocket milling, stepped features, and applications where standard-length tooling cannot reach. The centercutting geometry allows plunge cutting directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled entry hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool compatible with standard 7/16 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting right-hand tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a locked-out, tagged-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer, and torque the retention mechanism per the holder specification. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before first use and do not use chipped or damaged tooling.
