The ACCUPRO 12183388 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlTiN coating adds thermal resistance and hardness, making this tool well suited for high-speed dry or semi-dry cutting. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this end mill for applications where both reach and edge geometry matter.
This end mill is built for use in vertical machining centers and CNC milling setups where an extra-long reach is required. The 6 inch overall length and 3/4 inch shank diameter provide rigidity in deep-pocket and contour milling operations. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute spiral are standard configurations compatible with conventional CNC spindle setups. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving the operator flexibility in tool paths without requiring a pre-drilled entry point.
Designed as a standard 3/4 inch shank corner radius end mill for use in CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills equipped with a compatible collet or end mill holder accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or tool holder to the recommended grip length and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use; a damaged edge can cause workpiece surface defects or unpredictable tool failure under load.
