The ACCUPRO 12183336 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers consistent cutting performance and edge retention in demanding machining environments. The 4-flute, spiral design with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. At 0.625 inches in diameter with a 3-inch length of cut and 6-inch overall length, this is an extra-long configuration suited for deep-pocket and extended-reach applications. Centercutting geometry allows plunge milling without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The uncoated finish makes it well suited for use with cutting fluids in conventional milling setups.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines across production shops, toolrooms, and job shops. The extra-long overall length of 6 inches provides access to deep cavities and tall workpiece features where standard-length tooling cannot reach. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry match the standard spindle rotation of most vertical and horizontal machining centers. Machinists working on mold components, die sets, aerospace brackets, and general-purpose part features will find this configuration practical for a wide range of operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-application solid carbide square end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.625-inch straight shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder that matches the 0.625-inch shank diameter, and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts. Extended-length tooling is more susceptible to deflection — reduce depth of cut and feed rate accordingly when working at or near maximum reach.
