The ACCUPRO 12183313 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that produces a controlled edge break on milled features. The extra-long overall length of 6 inches provides extended reach into deep pockets or cavities where standard-length tooling cannot reach. With 4 flutes and a right-hand spiral flute geometry, this end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and wear resistance suited to a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is well suited for shop machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, tool and die, aerospace, and general precision machining environments. The centercutting design allows plunge entry into the workpiece, enabling both ramping and direct plunge operations. The bright uncoated finish makes it appropriate for materials where coated tooling may not be preferred, such as certain aluminum alloys or applications where coating interference with tolerances is a concern. The 1/2 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard ER and end mill holders across most CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for solid carbide corner radius end mills with a 1/2 inch shank diameter, compatible with standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and ER collet systems used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the minimum engagement depth recommended for the holder type, and torque the set screw or collet nut per the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear and degrade corner radius tolerance.
