The ACCUPRO 12183310 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and composite materials. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter with a 0.02 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding applications. With 4 right-hand spiral flutes and an extra-long 3 inch length of cut, this end mill handles deep-pocket and profile milling where standard-length tools cannot reach. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as peripheral cutting. Micrograin carbide construction provides wear resistance and edge retention at higher feed rates. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill suits applications requiring extended reach into deep cavities, slots, or profiles on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials. The extra-long 6 inch overall length makes it appropriate for mold and die work, fixture machining, and any setup where a standard-length tool cannot access the feature geometry. The bright uncoated finish makes it a general-purpose option when coating is not required by the application or when regrinding is planned.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 1/2 inch shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth before torquing the retention system. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation and before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide end mills.
