The ACCUPRO 12183308 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. The cutter measures 0.5 inches in diameter with a 1/8 inch (0.125 inch) corner radius, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length. With 4 spiral flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, this single-end tool delivers clean material removal on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The micrograin carbide construction supports rigidity and edge retention across extended runs. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production facilities are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for profiling, slotting, and contouring applications where a defined corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations in milled features. The extra-long length of cut classification makes it well-suited for deep-cavity work and tall-wall milling scenarios. The bright/uncoated finish keeps the tool compatible with a broad range of cutting fluids and base materials without concern for coating adhesion or reaction. It accepts standard 1/2 inch collets and tool holders common in vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit cutting tool for 1/2 inch collet chucks and end mill holders used in CNC vertical machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with tooling setup and speeds-and-feeds selection for carbide end mills. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the 1/2 inch shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention system per the machine manufacturer's specification. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide tooling is brittle and should not be dropped or subjected to impact.
