The ACCUPRO 12183301 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 3/8-inch diameter, a 1-3/4-inch length of cut, and a 0.06-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in hardened and abrasive materials. The AlTiN coating provides high heat resistance and surface hardness, making this tool well-suited for dry cutting and high-speed applications in ferrous metals, stainless steel, and hardened alloys. With a 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration and a 40-degree helix angle, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish on both roughing and finishing passes.
This end mill is used in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a radiused corner is required to blend floor-to-wall transitions. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and full-depth peripheral cutting. Its extra-long 4-inch overall length gives clearance for deeper pockets and stepped features. Machinists working in tool-and-die, aerospace component, and precision mold applications will find this geometry a reliable fit for high-tolerance work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers accepting a 3/8-inch shank end mill in standard ER or side-lock toolholders.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 3/8-inch shank fully into the toolholder and torque the collet nut or set screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, and confirm feed and speed parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material and coating type.
