The ACCUPRO 12183287 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with titanium carbonitride (TiCN), it delivers extended tool life and resistance to wear when cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1/8-inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending both part and tool life. With a 40-degree helix angle and 4 right-hand spiral flutes, it provides aggressive chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. This is an extra-long length tool with a 1-3/4-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length, suited for deeper cavity work where standard-reach tools fall short. Machinists and CNC operators install and run this tool on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is suited for production and job-shop milling applications where corner radius geometry is required to blend floor-to-wall transitions or reduce stress risers in machined features. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as side milling. The extra-long configuration makes it appropriate for deep-pocket milling and profiling operations where reach is a limiting factor. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch collets, shrink-fit holders, or end mill holders on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers requiring a corner radius end mill with a right-hand cutting direction.
Install this end mill in a properly sized 3/8-inch tool holder and verify runout before production cutting. Machinists should confirm spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against material-specific parameters before use. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool's rated length of cut when side milling, as extended overhang increases deflection risk.
