The ACCUPRO 12183233 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide substrate and finished with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, this tool delivers hardness and wear resistance across a wide range of workpiece materials. The four-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 4 inches overall length with a 1.5-inch length of cut, this extra-long profile reaches deeper pockets and slots that standard-length end mills cannot access. Centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including alloy steels, stainless steel, and cast iron, where a TiCN coating adds meaningful tool life. The extra-long overall length makes it appropriate for aerospace, die and mold, and general machining applications requiring extended reach into deep cavities or thin-wall features. It is installed and run by machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production facilities, and toolrooms. The 0.25-inch shank diameter fits standard ER and other collet systems commonly found on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for any machine spindle or collet chuck accepting a 0.25-inch shank diameter end mill, including ER16, ER20, and comparable collet systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This tool is installed by machinists and CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle and collet are fully de-energized and the machine is in a locked-out state before changing tooling. Confirm collet bore cleanliness and proper torque on the collet nut using manufacturer-specified toolholder wrenches before running. Verify correct speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and do not exceed the tool diameter runout tolerances stated by the holder manufacturer.
