The ACCUPRO 12183201 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill built for precision milling in ferrous and hardened materials. It carries a 1/8 inch mill diameter with a 0.02 inch corner radius, reducing stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extending tool life in demanding applications. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlTiN coating adds thermal resistance and hardness, making this tool well-suited for dry or semi-dry cutting conditions at elevated speeds. The extra-long 1 inch length of cut and 3 inch overall length allow access to deeper features without requiring extended-reach tooling adapters. Machinists and tool-and-die shops install this type of end mill in CNC machining centers and manual mills for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations.
This end mill is sized for work on small-part, close-tolerance features common in mold making, die work, aerospace components, and medical part manufacturing. The 1/8 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders in that bore size. Single-end construction and centercutting capability allow plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. The extra-long length type makes it practical for reaching into pockets and cavities that standard-length end mills cannot access cleanly.

Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius for chips or damage before each use. Proper runout and balance should be verified at the spindle before beginning high-speed operations.
