The ACCUPRO 12183200 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 1/8 inch diameter with a 0.015 inch corner radius, four flutes, and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments. The extra-long 3 inch overall length with a 1 inch length of cut provides reach into deep cavities and pockets. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill on CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and consistent corner geometry are required.
This end mill is suited for use on ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temperature alloys where the AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection. The single-end, centercutting design allows both plunge and peripheral milling operations. The extra-long length type makes it appropriate for deep-pocket profiling, slotting, and contouring where standard-length end mills lack the required reach. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard configurations compatible with conventional CNC spindle setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter collet or toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8 inch shank securely in a matched collet or end mill holder to the recommended insertion depth to prevent pullout under load. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as carbide tooling is brittle and should not be used if edge damage is visible.
