The ACCUPRO 12183186 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. It features a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) cutting diameter with a 4-flute spiral configuration and a 40-degree helix angle, making it well suited for finishing passes and profiling work where surface quality matters. The extra-long overall length of 3 inches with a 1-inch length of cut gives machinists extended reach into deep pockets and slots. Centercutting geometry allows direct plunging into workpieces. The micrograin carbide substrate provides wear resistance and edge retention in demanding cutting conditions. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers specify this tool for high-precision work.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where a 1/8 inch shank diameter collet or toolholder is available. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry are standard for conventional and climb milling on most CNC platforms. The uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous metals, aluminum alloys, plastics, and general-purpose steel applications where coating buildup is not desired. The extra-long configuration makes it a practical choice when standard-length tooling cannot reach the required depth of cut.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with a 1/8 inch collet, ER collet chuck, or equivalent toolholder accepting a 0.1250 inch shank diameter.
This end mill is installed and serviced by machinists and CNC setup technicians. Before inserting or removing tooling, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth and torque the retention nut per the toolholder specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as micrograin carbide is rigid but brittle under impact or improper handling.
