The ACCUPRO 12183145 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 0.750 inch mill diameter, a 0.0200 inch corner radius, and four spiral flutes ground from micrograin solid carbide. The TiCN coating improves wear resistance and reduces heat buildup at the cutting edge. With a long-series 2.250 inch length of cut and a 5.000 inch overall length, this tool handles deep-pocket and side-wall milling where standard-reach tools fall short. It is a single-end, centercutting design with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting action. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, tool rooms, and production facilities are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials where TiCN coating provides an advantage in hardness and lubricity. The 0.0200 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the tool-workpiece interface, extending both tool life and surface finish quality in pocketing, slotting, and profiling operations. The 3/4 inch shank diameter mounts directly into standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders with a 3/4 inch bore. The long-series length makes it appropriate for mold and die work, deep-cavity machining, and aerospace component profiling where extended reach is required without sacrificing rigidity.
Designed for use in standard 3/4 inch bore end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and hydraulic toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring a right-hand, four-flute corner radius end mill.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control placed in an e-stop or lockout state per facility LOTO procedures. Verify the shank diameter and holder bore match before clamping. Inspect the collet or holder for runout with a dial indicator before cutting; excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder recommendations for speeds, feeds, and coolant application appropriate to the workpiece material.
